Café and bar (The Lido)

Please note the bathing pool is tidal and time management is key. It's important that matches are played within their allocated slot given the window of available pool time on both days.

Saturday 06th September 2025

09:15 to 09:30 - Tournament briefing

09:40 to 15:40 - Water polo matches

17:00 to 00:00 - Party

Sunday 07th September 2025

10:00 to 14:00 - Water polo matches

Golden Rules

To facilitate a two minute changeover teams must be in the water to warm up (to the side of the pitch they are about to play in) a minimum of five minutes before their next match.

Match timings will be controlled centrally and will start strictly on time. Point deductions may be incurred if teams are late.

Team captains/ managers will be responsible for the good conduct of their respective teams. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Please respect the fellow teams, lifeguards and supporters.

If you have any questions/ issues during the weekend please speak to a JWPA representative who will be happy to assist.

The Lido

The onsite café and bar (The Lido) will be open on both days to ensure teams have a place to relax and grab a bite to eat during the tournament.

The outside kiosk will open at 9am serving food throughout the day.

The interior event space/ bar will open at 10am giving teams an area to relax indoors.

The party on Saturday 06th September will start at 5pm with buffet food served from 6pm. Please inform the restaurant of any allergies.

Don't forget your JPWA wristband which is required to enter the venue for the party!

Health & Safety

Sea temperature/ hypothermia

The sea temperature is c. 18°C. Please remain vigilant for signs of hypothermia.

We encourage players to wear a swimming cap underneath their water polo cap to stay warm.

Weather/ sunburn and dehydration

Please wear sun cream and drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Uneven surface/ depth

Take care when entering the water as depth varies (6-8ft). The base of the pool is rock and shingle.

Pool areas

The poolside area comprises rock and concrete and can be very slippery when wet.

Injuries

Seek attention from the lifeguards for any injuries/ stings from marine wildlife (highly unlikely).

While JWPA has made every effort to ensure that the tournament is safe and enjoyable for all. JWPA will not be held responsible for any accidents and/ or injuries from taking part in the tournament or from using the Havre Des Pas facility.
